3 TIME CHAMPION ATOM A CATARACTS

Congratulations to the Atom A Cataracts on winning the Gold Medal at The Ultramar Cup in the Lewisporte Atom Tournament held March 12-14th. The Atom Cataracts went undefeated in the tournament led by their goalie Michael Hurdle who blanked the Deer Lake Red Wings 4-0 in the final round robin game to help his team to the Gold Medal game where he earned his 2nd shut out of the tournament with an exciting 8-0 championship win over the home team Lewisporte Seahawks.

This win marks the 3rd consecutive Gold Medal Weekend for the Atom A CATS having won Championships in Deer Lake, Clarenville and Lewisporte. The teams record this season is 18-10-1 having played some of the top ranked teams in the province. Their biggest accomplishment to date is winning the B Division Tournament in Clarenville where all but one B team in the province competed for the 37th Annual Clarenville Atom Invitational B division title. Their hard work, determination and team effort brought them home Champions beating 2 top AVALON TEAMS in their run to Gold. Way to go Cats!
